How do I save an article?

On iPhone or iPad: use the share sheet from any browser and choose Save to Scrinium, or enable the Scrinium extension in Safari (Settings → Apps → Safari → Extensions) and tap its toolbar button. On desktop: install the Scrinium Clipper from the Chrome Web Store, sign in with Apple once, and click it on any article.

Why does a saved article show “Saved on another device”?

Titles and authors travel first, whenever Scrinium syncs (on opening the app, or pull-to-refresh); the full text downloads the first time you open the article. Open it while online once and it stays readable offline.

Does Scrinium bypass paywalls?

No. A capture is what your own browser could see at that moment, under your own subscription where you have one.

How do highlights work?

Select any passage in the reader and choose Highlight. Your highlights sync with the article and are listed under Settings → Highlighted articles.

What does the pencil in the reader do?

Edit mode. Tap anything to hide it from your reading view — tap a dimmed block to bring it back. Hide the same thing in two articles from one publisher and Scrinium learns to hide it there everywhere. The saved article itself is never changed.

Where is my data stored?

On your devices, and in your own private iCloud. There are no accounts and no developer server — see the privacy policy (it is short and it means it).
